SPANISH AIMS FOR THE MEETING
Water Facts...How much do you know?
SMOS Satellite Presentation and Video Conference with the Expert Center in MadridClick here
ESA
(European Space Agency) is developing some different missions. One of
them is:
SMOS
(Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity) – SMOS satellite will make global observations of soil moisture over
Earth’s landmasses and salinity over the oceans. The data will result in a
better understanding of the water cycle and, in particular, the exchange
processes between Earth’s surfaces and the atmosphere. Data from SMOS will help
improve weather and climate models, and also have practical applications in
areas such as agriculture and water resource management.
